Open House Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research
Peek behind the scenes at a wildlife rehabilitation center

Description:

What happens inside a wildlife rehabilitation center?

Find out at Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research’s Open House

You are invited to join us on Sunday, May 7, 2017 (11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., rain or shine), at 170 Possum Hollow Road, Newark, DE, for our annual Open House! This family-friendly event, presented by WSFS Bank, is an opportunity to take a peek behind the scenes at a wildlife rehabilitation center. Guests can tour the Wild Bird Clinic, where more than 2,500 wild patients are admitted every year, and the Wildlife Response Annex, where our team professionally treats contaminated wildlife.

View birds of prey up close with Animal Behavior and Conservation Connections. Other local non-profit organizations will be on hand to help raise awareness of our natural world. Local vendors will offer a chance to shop for Mother’s Day gifts, and food, beverages, baked goods, and Tri-State merchandise will also be available for purchase.

Admission is free. Cash donations and donations of plain white paper towels and single-ply toilet paper, which are used to line nest cups for baby birds, will be gratefully accepted. For more information about Tri-State and updates on the schedule of events for the Open House, please visit www.tristatebird.org/openhouse.
