The Delaware KIDS Fund recently received a $1,000 donation from Wells Fargo at the annual Greater Philadelphia/Delaware Community Connections Grant Program awards ceremony.

The Community Connections Program was developed to provide local Wells Fargo branches with the opportunity to select non-profits of their choice to receive Wells Fargo Foundation Grants. During the month of November, Wells Fargo will provide $181,000 in grant funding to a diverse group of organizations throughout the Delaware and Pennsylvania region.

“At Wells Fargo, we know that small acts can yield huge results and we are committed to supporting programs and organizations that we believe are important to the future of our communities’ vitality and success,” said Ashley Walker, Wells Fargo store manager in Hockessin. “We are proud to support The Delaware KIDS Fund with this grant.”

“We are honored to be selected by our local Wells Fargo branch and we are eager to put this grant to work immediately in our community,” said Ryan Kennedy, the Director of Community Outreach for The Delaware KIDS Fund. “Our top priority right now is to continue to tackle the hunger issue among Delaware children and this grant will help us provide thousands of meals – just in time for the holidays.”

The Delaware KIDS Fund was established in 2008 by Thomas J. Hanna and Harvey, Hanna & Associates. The KIDS Fund is dedicated to providing financial assistance, goods and services to Delaware children at risk or currently facing distressed circumstances.
