In a 24-hour period that started at approximately 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Master Corporal Marc Difrancesco administered naloxone to three separate individuals during separate incidents.

At approximately 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve, MCpl. Difrancesco responded to the 200 block of Suburban Drive for a report of a male that was possibly overdosing. MCpl. Difrancesco observed the subject (a 43 year-old male) to be unresponsive with constricted pupils and believed it to be an overdose. He administered naloxone to the subject and the 43-year-old male became alert shortly thereafter.

At approximately 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve, MCpl. Difrancesco responded to the 200 block of East Delaware Avenue. Aetna EMT personnel arrived on scene and believed the subject, a 50 year-old male, was experiencing a drug overdose based on the his unresponsiveness. MCpl. Difrancesco arrived immediately after and administered two overdoses of naloxone to the subject which successfully revived him.

At approximately 4:15 p.m. on Christmas Day, MCpl. Difrancesco responded to the 1000 block of South College Avenue for a report of an overdose. MCpl. Difrancesco observed the unresponsive subject (a 60 year-old female) to have constricted pupils, labored breathing and he believed it to be an overdose. He administered naloxone to the subject who recovered after two doses.

No charges were filed in any of these incidents. All subjects were transported to Christiana Emergency Room for further evaluation.
