Who Wants to Play Some Pickleball? Learn How in Newark Next Week

Newark Parks and Recreation wants you to try one of the fastest growing sports in America! Pickleball is a sport described as a combination of ping pong, tennis and badminton. It’s a great workout for players of all ages and most importantly tons of fun! We are pleased to announce the tennis court at the George Wilson Park (303 New London Road) now has lines painted for pickleball and is available for free play.

We are also offering a free introductory session on May 14 from 6-7:30pm. Learn how to play the game at this exciting event. No experience necessary. No Paddle? No problem. Equipment will be provided if you do not bring your own. This introductory sessions is available to adults ages 18 and over and is free to attend, but pre-registration is required.
