Bird Walks At Middle Run

Free! Every Autumn, more than 30 species of warblers pass through this county park and birders flock here to search for these colorful songbirds. Neo-tropical migrants like orioles, vireos, tanagers, and flycatchers are attracted to the early-successional habitat planted by DNS members through the 25-year reforestation project at Middle Run. Enjoy a guided birding tour along the renowned Middle Run Birding Trail, where more than 150 species of birds are recorded every autumn. Binoculars available to borrow and a spotting scope will be utilized to provide optimal viewing of the birds we observe. Led by DNS Staff
