Flights of Fancy

A Choral Concert Presented by the Pennsylvania Academy of Performing Arts

“Flights of Fancy” is the second installment of the concert series Magic, Myths, and Mysteries presented by the choirs of Pennsylvania Academy of Performing Arts. Concordia and Chamber Choir will take you on a whimsical journey exploring the literal and metaphorical experience of flight. The program will feature Eric Whitacre’s choral masterpiece Leonardo Dreams of his Flying Machine, dramatically telling the story of one of da Vinci’s greatest achievements; along with the well-known spiritual, Ezekiel Saw de Wheel; an a cappella arrangement of the beloved Beatles hit Blackbird; and a beautiful setting of ee cummings's poem Who Knows if the Moon’s by local composer Alexis Renee Ford.
