Individuals and groups wishing to organize events during September’s second annual Peace Week Delaware are invited to an event development workshop on Monday, June 12, 6:30 to 8:30 at the First Unitarian Church, 730 Halstead Rd., Wilmington 19803. Members of the Peace Week Delaware steering committee and previous event sponsors will be on hand to work with groups that aim to create new events or participate for the first time in 2017. Peace Week Delaware is a statewide series of events raising awareness, hope, and action for peace in our communities, nation, and world. In 2016, it included more than 40 events in all three Delaware counties organized by 36 different nonprofits, churches, and coalitions of community groups.
