Police Investigating Exxon Armed Robbery

On May 11th at approximately 3am, Newark PD responded to the Exxon at 820 South College Avenue due to a robbery that just occurred.  The victim reported that a white male suspect entered the convenience store area, displayed a black handgun and then stole cigarettes, the clerk’s wallet and an undisclosed amount of US currency from the register.  The suspect fled on foot and was last seen on Plymouth Drive.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30 years of age, 5’6” – 5’7”, average build with a black mask covering his face.

No security footage is available at this time.
